Whether you're after a fun night with friends, a creative escape, or live music to unwind, Our Land Bar at Cordis, Auckland makes the perfect after-work spot of indulgence that everyone can enjoy.
From a sip and paint experience, drag queen bingo, quiz night, and jazz night, the bar renowned for its unique concept, is launching a regular event program that promises excitement and entertainment.
“Starting this month (March), guests can enjoy a dynamic line-up of events that bring people together for unforgettable experiences,” said Pascale Desrumaux, Cordis Senior Marketing Manager.
The new Sip and Paint with Pinot & Picasso, an event that combines creativity and relaxation runs every second Thursday of the month.
“Guests can unleash their inner artist with guidance from professional instructors while sipping on a fine selection of wines,” Desrumaux said.
“No prior painting experience is needed, making it a fun and inclusive night out.”
Quiz Night takes place every first Wednesday of the month and Jazz Night, featuring talented local musicians, happens on the fourth Thursday.
“Jazz night is the perfect setting for unwinding with a cocktail in hand while enjoying an intimate and sophisticated ambiance,” Desrumaux added.
Perhaps the most fun of the event series is the Drag Queen Bingo, which brings a night filled with energy, humour, and dazzling performances.
Drag Queen Bingo runs on the third Thursday of each month. Hosted by some of the best drag queens in town, expect hilarious banter, exciting prizes, and an electrifying atmosphere.
Located at the entrance of one of Auckland’s most luxurious hotels, Our Land (previously known as Our Land Is Alive) is a Kiwi-themed bar that has always been about offering locally special things.
It offers a “100% Kiwi experience” with every drink and dish crafted using locally sourced ingredients.
The Kiwiana experience comes complete with a cozy courtyard with an outdoor fireplace against a backdrop of lush native greenery. Inside, the ceiling is decked out with a dreamy “long white cloud” painting by local artist Ross Lewis, and the walls are adorned with prints of native birds and Kiwi wildlife.
The menu offerings showcase the best of what New Zealand offers - from premium wines and craft beers to dishes focused on fresh seasonal produce designed by long-time Cordis executive chef Volker Marecek.
Perfect anytime to go with your drinks is the Our Land charcuterie board, which comes laden with cured meat (including ostrich and venison), cheese, pate, fruit, and crackers.
