We have certainly had our mix of incredible, wonderful and challenging moments since starting down this foodie path.
The idea at the start was simple - using food to break down cultural barriers and encourage friendships through a Facebook group and small events.
Then Covid-came and seven of our planned events had to be canceled, Chow Luck Club then became a vessel for helping small eateries survive the pandemic.
The club kept foodies actively involved in Auckland’s dining scene and helped eating establishments promote takeaway options when dining in wasn’t allowed.
As the group grew, we knew the club could offer something unique and different - showing the beauty of Auckland through its diverse culinary offerings.
My husband and the club’s co-founder Lincoln comes from a media background, so I guess it is only natural that we’re now at this new chapter of the club as we launch our digital publication chowluckclub.com
Both of us are food-obsessed, and back in Singapore where we are originally from, it was our natural hobby to be trying new foods all the time.
Through Chow Luck Club, we are thrilled to now have a group of like-minded impassioned food lovers to grow what we’ve started.
What started as a hobby and a ‘Lincoln’s Table’ blog three years ago has now expanded into a full scale events, marketing and publishing media house and we pride ourselves as being an authority in diverse ethnic cuisine and lifestyle.
So far we’ve hosted two series of Elemental AKL events, Restaurant Month walking food tours, new restaurant openings, hotel kitchen takeovers, tourism events and hosted a Masterchef collab.
We’re excited to have our two key partners Hospitality New Zealand and Honda Newmarket Store on board for this next chapter of our journey.
