It’s a dish that American food blogger Mark Wiens described as “the most insane street food in Thailand” - and fans can now satisfy their cravings for it in Auckland.

Leng Saeb - tantalising pork bones, tender-braised, piled up (well, not quite the mountain that Mark had in his YouTube video) and nestled in a flavourful, tangy, spicy broth laced with cilantro and chillies.
Two Thai restaurants in Auckland serve this irresistible Thai dish, both loaded with fall-apart tender pork in rich, spicy, and sour broth, and delicious. It would be hard to pick which one is better.

At Sa-On in Henderson, Leng Saeb is served a plate with a broth packed with flavours from fresh lime and fiery chillies, while at the newly opened Puen Thai Eatery and Bar in Mount Eden, it is served in a hot pot.
At both places, the pork meat is fall-off-the-bones tender and boiled to absolute perfection.
If you’re a fan of tom yum or Thai soups, you’re going to love Leng Saeb and it’ll get you slurping every last drop.
